A boys whos fellings im not so sure about?

so me in this boy have a history of being friends and then we had this fight. so when we were friends it seemed we never had anything to say to each other but when i talk to hi friends i just cant top talkin so now he asked me out and i said yes were not hand holdin kissin or that yet but i just cant even talk to him it just gets so akward and boring that i just wna tto go we havent like gone out yet but idk i kinda want to end it and kinda want to get to that point where we can talk freely sooooo if i were to end wat ever started how could i do it and i want to no just how i can talk to him casue its just so akward soooo please help
