Assuming you can prove yourself at community college, I think you'd stand a shot at BU. Harvard or MIT, though...why do you want to attend those schools? If it's just to prove yourself, then no; you're probably not getting in. There are very few (if any) transfer spots available at schools at that level, and they're going to go to students who not only stand out academically but can make a clear and compelling case that specific resources only that school can offer are going to make the difference between a decent career in their chosen field and an influential one. If you can do that and have some evidence to back you up (not just grades, but research or internships), then maybe you can beat the odds. Just know that they're very long ones, and it may not be worth it if you can in fact get what you need somewhere else.

I've been having this issue for years. Its worst at night and generally below the knee. Its such a bad itch that I can't get it to go away. I literally have to dig my nails into my skin before it goes away and then its only replaced with pain. first off there is more than 1 liver enzyme - the 2 main ones are alt and ast - no doctor can tell you that you have hep c without testing for active infection by having a pcr test which determines the amount of virus / ml of blood - 9 would be normal for alt and ast - i would recommend seeing another dr

Even in the unlikely hood that he does have it the chances of you contracting it through sexual contact are something like 1%. Hep c is usually transmitted from mother to child (during childbirth) through iv drug use or getting a tattoo with an infected needle. My friends husband had it and they were married 20 years and she never contracted it. They had unprotected sex and 3 children during the marriage with no issues so even if he has it you probably don't. Actually, that's a 27 day cycle. So it's not really as soon as you may imagine. The average cycle is 28 days but every woman is different. Some women have 26 day cycles, others have 34 day cycles. And some (like me) have so many days between cycles we lose count. So when our bodies do what's normal for other women (but abnormal for us) it's a bit weird. I don't know your body and can't even begin to guess why your flow isn't exactly what you expect, but I wouldn't think you're pregnant based on having periods that start 27 days apart. If you're really worried, take a test.

Doctor couldn't hear hesrtbest, worried? ?

I am 12 weeks pregnant, I will be 13 on Monday. My Dr tried to hear the heartbeat wth a Doppler but couldn't find it. I saw the baby at about 7 weeks and that was it. I'm so scared. I haven't had any bleeding, a little cramping but nothing unbearable so I figured it was normal. My symptoms completely disappeared after the ultrasound at 7 weeks. I go on Monday for one to see if everything is ok. I'm soo scared and I'm literally in tears. Its my first pregnancy and I just want everything to be ok. But I figure at 12 weeks, she should be able to hear it. She said she heard movement or something but it's not good enough. Is this normal tto not hear the heartbeat? Maybe I'm stressing because I just don't feel pregnant anymore. I've been crying all day. I'm just afraid there will be nothing on the ultrasound. I might just go to the ER tomorrow. Did anyone experience this? I need some encouragement or I'm going to go crazy :(

I used to be addicted to intravenous drugs, and was involved in risky behavior with my boyfriend at the time, who did not tell me he had hiv and hepatitis c until 4 months after the relationship started. I recently just got done with an interferon/ribavarin treatment for hep approx a month an a half ago. My dr said I should feel completely normal after 6 weeks post treatment. Is it normal to feel kind of weak after a double dose of hep b and TDap vaccine?

I am one of the like 10% of people who don't easily develop antibodies to hep b from the regular vaccine. My doctor (an infectious disease expert) decided to try to double dose, and I also got TDap. This was yesterday...I was fine until about 2pm today when I started to feel exhausted, like I can barely sit up. And really hungry...I just ate a whole small load of bread o_O.
